Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Azizi, working from our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai. In this role, you will play a key role in conceptualizing and designing complex MEP systems for high-end luxury residential and hospitality projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with local authority standards, maintaining design integrity, and delivering innovative and efficient electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive electrical systems, including CCTV, Fire Fighting Systems, Access Control, Lighting and Power, Central Battery Systems, and Emergency Exits for luxury residential and hospitality projects.
- Develop Concept Design Documents and Construction Documents, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
- Efficiently calculate building cooling loads using authority-approved software to ensure energy efficiency and optimal system performance.
- Coordinate with CAD & BIM technical specialists, providing technical guidance to ensure that design layouts meet Azizi’s high standards of quality and functionality.
- Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other design team members to ensure cohesive and integrated project development.
- Coordinate with Submittal Engineers to ensure that all submitted documents comply with the requirements of relevant Dubai authorities, including DEWA and Trakhees.
- Maintain accurate records of all mechanical and electrical documents submitted, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct design reviews, quality checks, and technical evaluations to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative and sustainable solutions into designs.
- Resolve design challenges and construction issues, ensuring constructability and practical implementation of electrical systems.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Electrical Design, working with reputed PMCs in the Middle East.
- Extensive project portfolio, including Highrise, Luxury Residential, Hospitality, or Mixed-use Development projects in the UAE.
- Proficiency in authority-related standards and requirements, including DEWA and Trakhees regulations.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards for electrical design and safety.
- Advanced proficiency in electrical design software and calculation tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and design team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
