The role is responsible for developing and implementing fire and life safety strategies across major real estate projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA, UAE Fire Code, and international safety standards.

Role Summary
The Senior Engineer – Fire and Life Safety will lead a team of specialists in delivering technical design, engineering guidance, and code compliance for all fire safety aspects of Azizi’s projects. This position requires expertise in fire protection design, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines to achieve safety and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the in-house Fire and Life Safety team within Studio 360 and oversee all related design and engineering functions.
* Provide technical guidance to internal design teams, consultants, and contractors.
* Review and evaluate architectural layouts and design proposals for compliance with NFPA and UAE Fire Code.
* Conduct detailed reviews of drawings, reports, and material submittals to ensure fire safety compliance.
* Assess and validate external fire consultants’ strategies and recommendations.
* Prepare technical reports, memorandums, and presentations addressing fire safety issues.
* Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and regulations related to fire safety.
* Perform risk assessments and present findings to management and project stakeholders.
* Develop fire safety strategy reports for various building types.
* Deliver training sessions and share fire safety knowledge with internal teams.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records in project tracking systems.
* Support continuous improvement by updating internal best practices and standards.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
* 10–12 years of experience in fire and life safety engineering, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
* Strong knowledge of NFPA 101, NFPA 5000, UAE Fire Code, and related standards such as NFPA 13, 14, 72, and 92.
* NFPA certification preferred.
* Chartered Engineer or affiliation with a recognized professional body is advantageous.
* Proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, and other FLS-related software.
* Excellent technical, analytical, and leadership skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
