Job Overview
The Senior Interior Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering detailed interior design packages from concept to execution, coordinating with internal engineering teams and external suppliers. This role requires hands-on project management and regular client interaction to ensure that aesthetic, functional, and technical requirements are all met.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of interior layouts, design concepts, and detailed drawings based on project specifications
* Collaborate with architecture, structural, and MEP teams to ensure integrated and conflict-free design
* Oversee space planning, finish schedules, and material selections to match design vision and budget
* Review shop drawings, material submittals, and vendor proposals for compliance and technical accuracy
* Ensure all designs comply with local codes, fire and safety standards, and sustainability guidelines
* Coordinate site inspections and ensure design execution meets quality benchmarks and project milestones
* Manage procurement coordination to secure approved finishes and furnishings on time and within budget
* Present interior design proposals to clients and stakeholders and incorporate feedback
* Monitor the progress of interior work and prepare regular updates for senior management
* Troubleshoot design-related issues during construction and recommend viable solutions
Job Requirements
* Bachelor\'s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
* Minimum 7–10 years of UAE or GCC experience in construction or fit-out design engineering
