Job Overview
The Senior Interior Design Engineer will lead interior design development from concept through execution. You will be responsible for coordinating detailed layouts, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, resolving design issues during construction, and ensuring compliance with both client expectations and local authority standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review detailed interior design concepts, layouts, and construction drawings
* Collaborate with architects, structural, and MEP teams to ensure cohesive integration
* Evaluate and approve interior shop drawings and materials as per design specifications
* Provide technical input to resolve design issues during various project phases
* Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure design fidelity and material quality
* Manage project deliverables in alignment with deadlines and budget constraints
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and local authorities to meet regulatory requirements
* Monitor execution progress and participate in quality audits of interior installations
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architecture
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE
* Proven track record in interior design for construction contracting companies
* Strong knowledge of local materials, finishes, and site execution practices
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office
* Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, and other regulatory bodies
