This role is ideal for seasoned professionals experienced in designing mechanical systems for high-rise, hospitality, and luxury residential developments across the UAE.

What Does a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Do?
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and the high standards Azizi is known for. The role involves supervising technical teams and ensuring all designs align with project goals and authority standards.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Design mechanical systems including HVAC, smoke control, fire protection, LPG storage/distribution, drainage, and water systems
- Calculate cooling loads using authority-approved software such as HAP
- Guide CAD and BIM technical staff to ensure proper implementation of design standards
- Review and coordinate design submissions and approvals with DEWA, Trakhees, and other relevant authorities
- Ensure documentation is organized, accurate, and submitted in line with project timelines
- Support MEP coordination with other disciplines for seamless design integration
- Maintain alignment with Azizi’s internal design benchmarks and compliance frameworks
What Skills Are Needed for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of mechanical design experience in the UAE or GCC
- Must have experience working with leading project management consultants (PMCs)
- Experience in high-rise, luxury residential, hospitality, or mixed-use developments
Skills:
- Expert in HAP software, duct and pipe design, selection software, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Familiar with Dubai authorities’ codes and approval processes (DEWA, Trakhees, etc.)
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, fire protection standards, and local regulations
- Ability to manage MEP design packages and provide technical mentorship to junior staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication for internal and external coordination
