Role Context
The Senior Planning Manager is responsible for driving strategic planning, project scheduling, risk mitigation, and construction controls across complex real estate developments. This role directly influences business performance by ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with contractual obligations while maintaining high standards of quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all phases of project planning from pre-construction through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
* Manage project programmes and supervise planning teams across single or multiple developments
* Develop strategic master schedules, baseline programmes, and recovery plans
* Ensure consistency of progress reporting and compliance with project milestones
* Prepare coordinated, logic-linked, resource-loaded construction and procurement programmes
* Conduct critical path analysis and advise on project sequencing and resource optimization
* Monitor progress and prepare internal reports, client reports, and time impact analysis documentation
* Administer contract time management provisions and support extension of time claims
* Perform forensic delay analysis and finalize claim-related documentation with stakeholders
* Identify project risks and provide mitigation strategies for successful delivery
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across all project phases
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
* Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP (AACE), PMI-SP, Primavera P6, or equivalent preferred
* Minimum 15 years of experience in construction planning and project controls
* At least 10 years of managerial or senior technical leadership experience
* Strong understanding of infrastructure development and construction project execution
* Excellent knowledge of project contracts, EOT claims, and stakeholder negotiations
* Familiarity with budgeting, finance, and local construction legislation
* Strong leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making ability
