Overview of the Role
The Senior Project Manager will take projects through the full development and delivery
cycle while maintaining the required standards for time, quality and budget.
The position requires a systematic approach to project leadership and stakeholder management. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor delivery performance and address project requirements throughout design and construction, with the objective of achieving successful completion and handover.
What You Will Do
Team Leadership
* Lead internal and external consultants, contractors and commercial staff involved in project delivery.
* Establish practical strategies that enable team members to work toward agreed project objectives.
* Delegate responsibilities according to individual capabilities, technical strengths and project requirements.
* Provide necessary guidance and training to support successful completion of assigned tasks.
* Maintain team performance through regular communication, encouragement and individual coaching.
* Coordinate effectively with business units, commercial stakeholders, planning teams and facilities management departments.
Project Delivery and Quality
* Manage hospitality, commercial and residential development projects within established time, quality and budget parameters.
* Guide projects from initial design stages through construction, completion and handover.
* Continuously review project activities to ensure delivery meets defined quality standards.
* Monitor quality requirements throughout execution with the objective of achieving the required Completion Certificate.
* Coordinate consultants and contractors to maintain alignment with approved project requirements.
* Identify opportunities to integrate Al-Futtaim brand products into developments where appropriate.
Project Controls and Performance
* Monitor project progress against agreed delivery objectives and take appropriate action when issues arise.
* Maintain oversight of project costs throughout the delivery cycle.
* Apply value engineering principles where appropriate while protecting required project outcomes.
* Coordinate project activities to maintain alignment between design, construction, commercial and operational requirements.
* Support timely resolution of issues that could affect quality, programme or budget performance.
Stakeholder Coordination
The Senior Project Manager will maintain effective communication across the different parties involved in each development. This includes consultants, contractors, commercial teams, business stakeholders, planning functions and facilities management.
The role requires clear coordination throughout design and construction so that project decisions, dependencies and delivery requirements remain aligned through to completion and handover.
