Store Design Manager / Interior Designer – Dubai UAE
Role Summary
Majid Al Futtaim Retail is seeking an experienced Store Design Manager to lead interior design projects for retail stores and experiential spaces. The role involves concept creation, space planning, materials selection, lighting, furnishings, and ensuring quality execution. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to deliver innovative and cost-effective retail environments that enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop mood boards, design briefs, and concept sketches for new store designs
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with brand and business goals
* Oversee interior design development, ensuring adherence to approved briefs and quality standards
* Manage design projects from concept to execution within allocated budgets and timelines
* Direct and coordinate external consultants to maintain design consistency and brand identity
* Review technical drawings and ensure compliance with architectural and safety standards
* Monitor on-site execution, ensuring project details and finishes meet expectations
* Develop in-house 3D concepts and detailed drawings using advanced design tools
* Work closely with Marketing, Brand Management, and Business Development teams to deliver impactful store concepts
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
* Minimum 8 years of experience in retail interior design, preferably with global exposure
* Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, 3D rendering tools, and Adobe Creative Suite
* Strong knowledge of architectural details, construction costs, and retail design trends
* Hands-on approach with ability to present concepts clearly and persuasively
* Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
