Job Overview
As a Structural Engineer, you will play a central role in bridging the gap between structural design and construction execution. You will be responsible for reviewing technical drawings, performing structural analyses, conducting site inspections, and ensuring all work aligns with local codes, project specifications, and safety standards. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional experienced in high-rise and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with architectural, MEP, and contractor teams to integrate structural systems into project workflows
* Review and validate design documentation including structural drawings and calculations
* Conduct on-site inspections to verify structural quality and compliance with approved plans
* Address technical challenges with practical, timely engineering solutions during construction phases
* Prepare detailed shop drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) as required
* Apply knowledge of temporary structural systems used during construction activities
* Use engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, SAP2000) for modeling and design verification
* Maintain complete and accurate project documentation including reports and revisions
* Identify opportunities for cost-saving through value engineering without compromising safety or integrity
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Minimum 6–10 years of experience in structural design and construction of residential or mixed-use developments
* Proficient in structural design tools and drafting software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit)
* Strong understanding of UAE building codes and international structural standards
* Demonstrated experience in site supervision, BBS preparation, and coordination with consultants
* Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
