Position Overview
The North Indian Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality North Indian dishes while maintaining kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and operational efficiency. This role also includes supporting general kitchen housekeeping to ensure hygiene standards, organized workstations, and smooth service delivery for guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare authentic North Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, breads, snacks, and traditional meals
* Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and food presentation according to restaurant standards
* Handle food preparation, cutting, marination, cooking, and final plating efficiently
* Ensure kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards are followed at all times
* Monitor stock levels of kitchen ingredients and report shortages to management
* Maintain proper storage of raw materials, spices, and prepared food items
* Support kitchen housekeeping and ensure workstations remain clean and organized
* Assist in daily opening and closing kitchen procedures
* Work closely with service staff and kitchen team for timely food delivery
* Follow company policies related to food handling, waste control, and operational safety
Ideal Profile
* 3 to 5 years of experience as a North Indian Chef in UAE or India
* Strong expertise in traditional North Indian cuisine preparation
* Experience in restaurant, catering, or hospitality kitchen environments
* Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen housekeeping standards
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen
