Job Overview
The Certified M and V Professional will be responsible for developing and executing M&V strategies to ensure accurate assessment of energy efficiency and sustainability projects. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, clients, and facility managers to monitor project impact, validate energy conservation measures, and maintain compliance with international energy standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement measurement and verification (M&V) plans in line with IPMVP
* Collect and analyze energy consumption and project performance data
* Validate predicted vs actual savings for retrofit and renewable energy projects
* Coordinate with project teams to define baselines and key performance indicators
* Prepare detailed reports documenting methodologies, energy savings, and financial impact
* Lead training sessions on M&V procedures and tools for technical teams and clients
* Support the design and continuous improvement of M&V processes
* Monitor ongoing ECMs and conduct post-implementation performance checks
* Ensure compliance with energy management standards such as ASHRAE, ISO 50001, and LEED
* Stay current with evolving tools, regulations, and technologies in sustainability and energy auditing
Reporting & MIS
* Generate accurate reports for energy performance, project outcomes, and compliance tracking
* Maintain logs and analysis records for internal review and stakeholder reporting
Financial Management
* Support investment validation through accurate measurement of cost savings
* Assist in grant documentation and funding applications for energy projects
Governance & Standards
* Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks, safety policies, and environmental protocols
* Promote best practices in sustainable operations, HSE, and energy performance
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or related field
* Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) certification required
* 3–5 years of experience in M&V, sustainability, or energy efficiency projects
* Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), metering, and data acquisition
* Proficiency in energy data analysis tools and reporting systems
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Familiarity with HVAC, lighting, renewable systems, and green building certifications
