What Does a Commercial Project Coordinator Do?
The Commercial Project Coordinator provides vital support to the Retail Project Office by preparing tender documentation, analyzing bids, assisting in procurement, and managing small-scale projects. This role bridges technical, commercial, and procurement functions to ensure project delivery aligns with cost, time, and quality expectations.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Prepare standardized tender documents and analyze returned bids
- Support the creation of RFQs and collaborate with procurement for vendor selection
- Review contractor variation claims and assist with reconciliation and final accounts
- Coordinate closely with Brand Project Managers to ensure governance compliance
- Assist in logistics tracking and purchase order follow-ups
- Recommend efficiencies through bulk contracting and process standardization
- Manage minor store closure projects and provide end-to-end support as needed
What Skills Are Needed for a Commercial Project Coordinator Role in Dubai?
Education:
- Degree in Design, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Civil Engineering
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an Interior Design, Project Management, or Fit-Out Office environment
- GCC market knowledge is a strong advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Office, project management tools, and tender documentation
- Commercially aware with knowledge of regional fit-out rates and practices
- Strong coordination, negotiation, and documentation skills
- Ability to analyze contracts and project-related financials
