Amazon is hiring a Financial Analyst in Dubai, UAE to support FP and A activities across the MENA, Türkiye, and South Africa Stores businesses. The role combines financial reporting, month-end close ownership, variance analysis, controllership, business partnering, and process automation. Working across Finance, Retail, Operations, Payments, Customer Service, Prime, Marketing, and Technology teams, the analyst will provide reliable financial insights that support business and leadership decision-making.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary FP and A contact for finance and business teams across MENA, Türkiye, and South Africa.
- Own financial bridging and financial storytelling
during monthly and quarterly close cycles.
- Validate financial and operational results for the Consumer business.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Lead month-end close activities with ownership across the P and L and balance sheet.
- Respond to ad-hoc questions from finance and business leadership regarding intra-month performance and one-off business reviews.
- Drive controllership across MENA, Türkiye, and South Africa Stores financials.
- Analyze actual financial performance, challenge variances, and track action plans designed to bring results back to plan where appropriate.
- Partner with Stores Finance, Operations, Payments, Customer Service, Prime, Marketing, and other finance teams on actuals variance analysis.
- Provide accurate and insightful financial reports to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to apply global standards and transfer repetitive activities to global teams.
- Support the development of financial capabilities across the organization.
Automation and Financial Analytics
The Financial Analyst will drive an AI-based roadmap focused on automating and simplifying tools and mechanisms used during weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cycles.
The role will leverage business intelligence capabilities available within finance and partner teams to improve reporting processes, reduce repetitive work, and strengthen financial analysis and controllership.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 3+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators to analysis.
- 3+ years of experience creating process improvements through automation and analysis.
- 3+ years of experience identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
- Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, statistics, or business; or a Bachelor\'s degree with 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role such as engineering, process re-engineering, or quality assurance.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects that scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- MBA or CPA.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, or Cognos.
- Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Lawson, or JD Edwards.
