Inventory Control Assistant | Retail | IKEA DFC
The Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting store operations to ensure seamless stock management. This role plays a key part in optimizing inventory integrity and delivering high service levels to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Input and update inventory data in core systems to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Support operational changes and implement innovative approaches to improve inventory control processes.
- Create container manifests for goods receiving and distribute labels to the checking team.
- Perform system-related functions for goods receiving, stock transfers, and outbound shipments.
- Generate picking lists, confirm outbound shipments, and prepare necessary release documents.
- Send stock orders to the retail warehouse and coordinate documentation with the sales team for replenishment.
- Provide support for annual stock counts and ensure all documentation is filed as per audit guidelines.
- Monitor and report inventory-related KPIs to the inventory controller, identifying exceptions and discrepancies.
- Work closely with the Inventory and Logistics teams to ensure efficient stock movement and control.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organizational abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in inventory processes.
- Knowledge of NAVISION operating system is an advantage.
- Experience in retail inventory management or a related field is preferred.
