Position Overview
Majid Al Futtaim Retail is hiring a Manager - Commercial FMCG and Grocery in Dubai, UAE to support commercial purchasing, product selection, sourcing, and inventory management from the Corporate Head Office. Working closely with buyers, the role helps determine which products reach store shelves, catalogues, and online channels while maintaining appropriate stock levels and commercial performance.
The position combines supplier sourcing, purchasing analysis, tender and RFQ management, inventory control, and commercial negotiation. The Manager will use data and market information to identify quality products at competitive prices, reduce shortages and excess stock, and support purchasing decisions aligned with MAF Retail objectives.

Commercial Sourcing and Purchasing
* Implement effective sourcing strategies for FMCG and grocery products.
* Support buyers with purchasing activities and commercial requirements.
* Research and evaluate new products against company objectives.
* Prepare and review purchase details relating to orders and deliveries.
* Source quality products at competitive prices aligned with organizational objectives.
* Research potential suppliers and recommend opportunities for long-term cost savings or quality improvements.
* Support product selection for stores, catalogues, and online channels.
* Maintain effective coordination with relevant business users throughout sourcing and purchasing activities.
Inventory and Stock Management
* Support the maintenance of desired stock levels across the assigned product portfolio.
* Analyze relevant data to identify potential shortages and overstocking.
* Develop and implement control strategies to improve inventory balance.
* Review purchasing and delivery information to identify issues that could affect stock availability.
* Apply numerical analysis and commercial judgment when assessing purchasing requirements.
Tenders, RFQs and Negotiations
* Manage the issuance of tenders and RFQs to the market in coordination with relevant MAF Retail business users.
* Support supplier evaluation and commercial decision-making.
* Implement negotiation strategies aimed at securing profitable deals.
* Evaluate supplier proposals with consideration for price, quality, and business requirements.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders throughout tendering and sourcing activities.
Requirements
* Bachelor\'s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
* Strong business communication and presentation skills.
* Strong teamwork and time management capabilities.
* Aptitude for decision-making and working with numerical information.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to support sourcing, purchasing, supplier evaluation, tendering, and commercial negotiations.
