Position Overview
Majid Al Futtaim Retail is hiring a Manager - Commercial FMCG in Dubai, UAE to support commercial purchasing and sourcing activities from the Corporate Head Office. The role coordinates closely with buyers and contributes to product selection, purchasing decisions, supplier sourcing, inventory planning, tendering, and commercial negotiations.
The Manager - Commercial FMCG will help ensure suitable products are available across stores, catalogues, and online channels while balancing quality, competitive pricing, stock requirements, and organizational objectives. The position requires strong commercial judgment, analytical capability, supplier coordination, and confidence working with purchasing and inventory data.

Commercial and Sourcing Responsibilities
* Implement effective sourcing strategies to secure goods while maintaining desired stock levels.
* Research and evaluate new products in line with business objectives.
* Support buyers with purchasing activities across the FMCG portfolio.
* Prepare and review purchase order and delivery details.
* Source quality products at competitive prices aligned with organizational objectives.
* Research potential suppliers and recommend opportunities that could deliver long-term cost savings or quality improvements.
* Manage the issuance of tenders and RFQs to the market in coordination with relevant MAF Retail business users.
* Implement negotiation strategies aimed at securing commercially profitable agreements.
Inventory and Product Management
* Support the selection and assessment of products intended for stores, catalogues, and online channels.
* Analyze relevant data to identify potential shortages and excess inventory.
* Implement control strategies designed to reduce shortages and overstocking.
* Coordinate purchasing requirements with buyers and relevant internal stakeholders.
* Review product and supply requirements to support appropriate stock availability.
* Apply numerical and commercial analysis when evaluating purchasing and sourcing decisions.
Requirements
* Bachelor\'s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
* 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
* Strong business communication and presentation skills.
* Strong teamwork and time management capabilities.
* Sound decision-making skills and confidence working with numerical information.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to support supplier sourcing, purchasing, tendering, and commercial negotiations.
