Process and Compliance Executive | Retail | Marks & Spencer
The Process and Compliance Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency, inventory control, and regulatory compliance within Marks & Spencer\'s retail division. This position involves implementing standardized compliance processes, mitigating risks, and supporting store operations across various geographies to safeguard company assets and enhance overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance systems and standardized controls.
- Review existing processes and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor performance metrics in store operations, inventory control, logistics, and merchandising.
- Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct compliance training sessions for stakeholders to ensure process adherence.
- Oversee monthly store compliance checklists and coordinate compliance visit schedules.
- Plan and manage physical inventory counts for stores and warehouses in coordination with logistics teams.
- Analyze shrinkage data, ensure financial postings, and prepare necessary approvals.
- Implement inventory control measures based on count results.
- Support the implementation of new retail and brand initiatives, including IT system enhancements.
- Assist in VAT and excise duty submissions across different regions and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Track internal audit reports, ensuring timely submission and execution of recommendations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor\'s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of retail operations experience, preferably at a supervisory level.
- Experience in merchandising or storekeeping is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage processes, collaborate with teams, and lead compliance initiatives.
