The Kids Club Attendant supports the safe and efficient operation of the children\'s recreation area while creating enjoyable, educational, and culturally relevant activities. The position combines childcare supervision, guest service, entertainment, cleaning, record management, and compliance with hotel health and safety procedures.
Careful supervision is essential because the employee is responsible for ensuring that every child remains within the designated area and is released only to an authorized parent or guardian. The role also contributes to family satisfaction by creating a welcoming environment where children can participate confidently in games, creative sessions, and approved recreation programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the smooth daily operation of the Kids Club and help maintain high guest satisfaction.
* Welcome children and parents in a warm, professional, and reassuring manner.
* Create safe, original, and age-appropriate activities for children.
* Incorporate suitable local culture, games, crafts, and recreational ideas into activity planning.
* Lead and support the Rixos children\'s activity program.
* Supervise children continuously while they are inside the Kids Club.
* Ensure each child remains within the designated and secured activity area.
* Organize games, creative sessions, group activities, entertainment, and approved learning experiences.
* Participate actively in activities to keep children engaged and comfortable.
* Provide appropriate childcare support and attend to reasonable personal needs.
* Contact a parent or guardian when assistance is required with behavior, discipline, health, or personal care.
* Follow all Kids Club policies, operating procedures, and child safeguarding requirements.
* Ensure the parent or guardian completes and signs the Kids Club Agreement and Information Form.
* Confirm that the individual checking in the child is listed on the approved form.
* Ensure the Kids Club register is completed accurately during check-in and check-out.
* Release children only to properly authorized parents or guardians.
* Maintain accurate attendance, registration, incident, and activity records.
* Report injuries, illness symptoms, allergies, or other health concerns to the Recreation Manager.
* Support the issue of a health alert when required by hotel procedure.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic Kids Club environment.
* Disinfect toys, play equipment, tables, surfaces, and frequently handled items.
* Inspect the activity area regularly for hazards, damaged toys, or unsafe conditions.
* Apply all hotel health, safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures.
* Monitor outsourced children\'s activity providers and report quality or safety concerns.
* Maintain complete knowledge of hotel facilities, services, recreation options, and family offerings.
* Answer guest questions accurately and direct families to suitable hotel services.
* Coordinate effectively with Recreation, Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, and other departments.
* Protect confidential guest and child information.
* Use initiative and sound judgment to resolve routine issues calmly.
* Maintain a positive attitude during busy periods and changing operational demands.
* Support colleagues and volunteer assistance when required for successful team operations.
* Complete duties according to established performance standards and hotel procedures.
