What Does a Retail Supervisor Do?
As a Retail Supervisor at Al-Futtaim, you will assist the Store Manager in overseeing all store activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, high-level customer service, and sales performance. You will train and lead staff, manage stock processes, and maintain store standards, acting as a key support to the management team.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve complex issues with professionalism
- Lead by example to support a customer-centric culture and train team members on product knowledge and service
- Assist in overall store operations, including opening/closing, POS handling, and stock receiving
- Maintain proper in-store administrative procedures and ensure accuracy in cash handling and reporting
- Support the Store Manager in training new employees and onboarding processes
- Ensure high store standards and compliance with operating procedures
- Provide guidance to junior staff, helping boost sales through product expertise and upselling techniques
- Handle deliveries, stock discrepancies, and in-store inventory efficiently
- Take responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager to keep operations running smoothly
What Skills Are Needed for a Retail Supervisor in Dubai?
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of store operations and retail POS systems
- Problem-solving abilities and leadership mindset
- Attention to detail, especially with cash handling and admin duties
- Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage
