Role Context
The Sales Assistant - Customer Experience will help drive sales and improve customer satisfaction by supporting shoppers at every stage of the store visit. The role contributes to better conversion, stronger product visibility, clean store standards, smoother fitting room service, accurate customer information capture, and a welcoming retail atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome customers as they enter the store with a warm, sincere, and professional greeting.
* Create a positive first impression through an energetic attitude, neat appearance, and adherence to the store dress code.
* Provide customers with current, clear, and relevant product information to support confident buying decisions.
* Engage with customers naturally to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
* Support fitting room service by assisting customers, following up in a timely manner, and helping identify add-on sales opportunities.
* Provide efficient service at the cash wrap and maintain a smooth checkout experience.
* Offer gift cards when appropriate and support customer database capture through approved systems.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization across the store, fitting rooms, product areas, and cash wrap counters.
* Follow visual presentation standards to ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively.
* Complete operational duties assigned by store management in line with daily business needs.
* Thank customers sincerely as they leave the store and encourage them to return.
* Work with team members to maintain service quality, housekeeping standards, and sales floor readiness throughout the day.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should have retail sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver friendly customer service while supporting operational store tasks. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and confidence working with customers, systems, and product presentation requirements.
* High school degree is required.
* 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Ability to maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation standards.
* Proficiency in using customer information systems.
* Ability to use computer-aided design packages such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Illustrator, or Photoshop is an advantage.
* Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
* Physical capability to perform selected heavy lifting when required.
* Positive attitude with willingness to support sales, cashiering, fitting room service, and operational tasks.
