The Sales Assistant - Store Operations role supports the store team by combining customer service, sales assistance, transaction handling, housekeeping, and visual presentation. Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers immediately as they enter the store with a warm, professional, and sincere approach.
* Provide current and useful product information to help customers make confident purchase decisions.
* Assist customers on the shop floor by understanding their requirements and directing them to suitable products.
* Deliver attentive fitting room service and follow up with customers in a timely manner.
* Suggest additional products where relevant to support add-on sales and improve the customer shopping experience.
* Process customer transactions accurately and promptly at the cash counter.
* Offer gift cards when applicable and support customer engagement initiatives.
* Capture customer information in the database with accuracy and care.
* Maintain cash wrap cleanliness and support an organized checkout area.
* Keep the store clean, tidy, and visually appealing throughout the day.
* Perform housekeeping tasks assigned by store management.
* Support visual presentation standards, product arrangement, and stock display requirements.
* Follow company dress code and service standards to create a positive customer impression.
* Thank customers sincerely as they leave the store and invite them to visit again.
* Work with the store team during busy periods, promotions, replenishment tasks, and daily operational activities.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate has a high school qualification and 1-2 years of retail sales experience in a customer-facing store environment. Experience in fashion, lifestyle, home retail, beauty, department store, or specialty retail will be useful for this role.
The candidate should have good verbal communication skills, a friendly personality, and the confidence to interact with different types of customers. A sales-driven attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized during busy store hours are important.
