Position Overview
Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead sourcing and buying activities that deliver high-quality, commercially viable product ranges aligned with customer needs. This role will focus on maximizing profitability through strategic vendor management, inventory control, and market-driven merchandise planning while ensuring brand positioning and assortment strategies support long-term growth.

What You’ll Do
* Develop and implement buying strategies in line with Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle and brand guidelines.
* Source, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
* Plan and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets by store, category, and subcategory.
* Ensure balanced product ranges to reduce lost sales, improve buying efficiency, and meet customer preferences.
* Monitor and adjust buying strategies to align with annual business plans, budgets, and sales targets.
* Negotiate shipment terms, payment schedules, and intake margins with local vendors for maximum cost-effectiveness.
* Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
* Track fashion trends, demographic shifts, and customer demands to guide purchasing decisions.
* Deliver product knowledge and fashion trend training to store teams for new season launches.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Marketing, Retail Management, Purchasing, or a related field.
* 4–5 years in a senior merchandising or buying role, preferably in a retail environment.
* Proven experience in men’s wear within a multi-brand store.
* Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
* Ability to balance commercial targets with customer experience.
