Key Responsibilities
* Develop effective buying strategies aligned with brand direction and MAF Lifestyle guidelines.
* Lead sourcing, vendor development, and contract negotiation to secure competitive pricing and product quality.
* Build and manage product ranges that are both commercially strong and customer-focused.
* Oversee OTB planning by store, category, and subcategory.
* Manage stock levels with the GM to reduce lost sales, maintain balance, and optimize product mix.
* Contribute to annual business plans, budgets, and category buying strategies.
* Achieve financial KPIs including margins, sell-through, OTB performance, and markdown control.
* Negotiate pricing, shipment costs, payment terms, and intake margins with local vendors.
* Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
* Stay updated on customer trends, demographic changes, and market movements to inform buying decisions.
* Deliver product and trend training to store teams for new launches and seasonal collections.
Ideal Profile
* 4–5 years of experience in a senior merchandising or buying role.
* Strong background in retail operations and category buying.
* Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Marketing, or a related field.
* Additional qualification in Retail Management, Purchasing, Sales, or related subjects is preferred.
* Strong negotiation, analytical, and planning capabilities.
* Ability to balance commercial strategy with customer insights.
