About the Role
Majid Al Futtaim Retail is looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager - Marketplace Commercial and Growth to lead commercial strategies, enhance category management, optimize pricing strategies, and drive merchandising efforts. This role plays a crucial part in expanding product visibility, increasing customer engagement, and driving sales growth in a competitive e-commerce landscape across the MENA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category growth strategies aligned with business objectives and market demands.
- Expand product assortments, manage category P&L, and drive sales performance improvements.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews focusing on marketplace growth levers, category expansion, and brand development.
- Design and execute pricing strategies, ensuring competitive benchmarking across all regions.
- Collaborate with account management teams to recruit new sellers, expand product catalogs, and establish strategic partnerships.
- Partner with marketing and on-site merchandising teams to develop category marketing plans, including promotions, events, and traffic generation strategies.
- Lead the execution of promotional campaigns and category-specific initiatives to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Utilize data analytics and performance dashboards to track category metrics, improve conversion rates, and enhance overall seller satisfaction.
- Leverage data insights for real-time decision-making, business forecasting, and hypothesis testing to refine growth strategies.
- Influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive commercial initiatives and marketplace development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace strategy, category management, or related roles.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, Tableau, and SQL (preferred) to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Proven ability to independently lead initiatives from inception to launch.
- Skilled in negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic planning.
- Experience in marketplace pricing strategies, product expansion, and business growth initiatives.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
