Estimation Engineer – Security Solutions

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed assessments of project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for security solutions and ELV systems
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to clarify requirements and ensure alignment on project scope and objectives
- Analyze historical data and market trends to benchmark costs and optimize bidding strategies for security system installations
- Prepare comprehensive tender documents, including technical and financial proposals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to quality standards for security products
- Utilize advanced estimation software and tools to streamline the estimation process, enhancing accuracy and efficiency
- Participate in project meetings to provide insights on cost implications and recommend value-engineering opportunities
- Maintain updated knowledge of emerging technologies and regulations in security solutions to inform estimation practices
Required Skills and Experience
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Security Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in cost estimation, security solutions, or ELV system design
- Strong knowledge of security systems, including access control, CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm systems
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for security installations
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools used for cost analysis and proposal preparation
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate project specifications, supplier quotes, and market trends
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams
