The Store Manager - Grocery Operations will oversee daily store activity from staffing and shift planning to stock control, receiving, replenishment, order fulfillment, equipment upkeep, and service quality. The role directly affects order accuracy, product availability, customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and store profitability. By coordinating people, inventory, processes, and safety standards, the position helps Talabat maintain reliable grocery fulfillment and smooth operational execution in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage full store operations, including staffing, scheduling, stock ordering, inbound receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, and expense control.
* Coordinate daily activities across store teams to ensure service levels, productivity, safety, and operational standards are consistently met.
* Plan shifts and allocate store personnel effectively to support order flow, peak demand periods, and fulfillment accuracy.
* Ensure efficient picker utilization through multitasking, clear task assignment, and practical workforce planning.
* Monitor UTR performance and recommend improvements that support faster, more accurate order preparation.
* Review inventory levels, demand planning inputs, and physical stock counts before placing replenishment orders.
* Maintain proper stock availability while reducing out-of-stock and overstock situations across store categories.
* Implement strong inventory control practices to support accurate records, stock visibility, shrinkage reduction, and proper stock rotation.
* Supervise inbound receiving to ensure supplier orders are checked, received, recorded, and stored according to policies and SOPs.
* Oversee outbound operations to ensure customer orders are picked, packed, checked, and dispatched accurately.
* Track fulfillment processes and identify improvements that can increase productivity, reduce errors, and improve profitability.
* Supervise assigned store operations to maintain service quality, cost control, team development, and customer satisfaction.
* Manage store resources effectively while keeping labor, supplies, and operational expenses aligned with budget expectations.
* Monitor shrinkage trends and ensure store-related corrective actions are implemented quickly.
* Ensure all equipment, infrastructure, storage areas, and material handling tools are used properly and maintained in good working condition.
* Supervise hygiene, sanitation, security, safety, and service-level standards across the store.
* Coordinate internal maintenance activities and follow up with third-party suppliers when repairs or technical support are required.
* Discuss store issues with the Operations Manager and propose workable solutions for recurring operational challenges.
* Ensure safe and appropriate use of material handling equipment by store employees.
* Support employee coaching, performance follow-up, and day-to-day development within the store team.
Ideal Profile
* 5-7 years of experience in supermarket operations, restaurant operations, grocery fulfillment, retail store management, or similar fast-paced service environments.
* Strong understanding of store operations, inventory control, order fulfillment, receiving, stock replenishment, and cost management.
* Previous experience supervising teams, planning schedules, assigning tasks, and maintaining service-level standards.
* Comfortable working hands-on in a busy store environment where priorities can change quickly.
