Role Context
This hourly engagement requires advanced linguistic judgement across Modern Standard Arabic, at least
one major Arabic dialect, and professional English. The expert will evaluate both language quality and the reasoning behind AI-generated answers, ensuring responses are accurate, logical, relevant, and clearly explained.
There is no immediate assignment attached to this opening. Qualified applicants may be added to an expert network and contacted when suitable Arabic-language AI projects become available.
Key Responsibilities
* Review AI-generated responses written in Arabic, English, or a combination of both languages.
* Evaluate whether each answer follows the prompt and addresses all requested elements.
* Assess grammar, fluency, terminology, tone, clarity, and cultural suitability.
* Examine step-by-step reasoning for logical gaps, unsupported claims, and methodological errors.
* Fact-check statements using reputable sources when required by project instructions.
* Compare multiple AI responses and rank them according to correctness and reasoning quality.
* Apply detailed scoring rubrics consistently across high-volume evaluation assignments.
* Write concise justifications explaining each rating, preference, or rejection.
* Create original prompts covering varied topics and levels of complexity.
* Produce high-quality bilingual responses and model answers demonstrating the correct approach.
* Edit unclear or inaccurate content while preserving intended meaning.
* Evaluate Modern Standard Arabic and relevant dialect usage for authenticity and appropriateness.
* Apply MENA localization conventions covering terminology, formatting, and cultural context.
* Identify potential bias, misleading information, and unreliable model behaviour.
* Test AI outputs across different use cases to support model-integrity assessments.
* Incorporate reviewer feedback and refine evaluation decisions when calibration is required.
* Maintain confidentiality and follow project-specific data-handling requirements.
* Communicate availability and assignment progress reliably in an asynchronous remote environment.
Ideal Profile
Candidates should hold a bachelor\'s degree or higher in Arabic Language, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
Native or near-native Arabic proficiency is required, including excellent Modern Standard Arabic writing and editing skills. Strong command of at least one widely used dialect is expected, with Egyptian Arabic preferred. English reading and writing ability at C1 level or above is essential.
