Group Internal Audit Intern - Engineering Audit Support – GCC Region
We are looking for a highly motivated intern to support DP World\'s Group Internal Audit function in the GCC Engineering domain. The selected candidate will gain valuable exposure to engineering standards, internal audit practices, and cross-functional collaboration at Jebel Ali Port, Dubai.
Job Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Job Industry: Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain
Job Function: Internal Audit – Engineering Compliance
Job Type: Internship
Salary: Unpaid Internship (with potential travel/lunch allowance)
Gender: Any
Key Responsibilities
* Support internal audit testing of design and operational effectiveness of engineering controls
* Assist in evaluating compliance across mechanical and electrical engineering processes
* Contribute to audit work programmes and documentation
* Collaborate with Procurement and Finance teams to validate cross-departmental workflows
* Analyze engineering performance data using Excel and Power BI
* Prepare dashboards and reports to support internal decision-making
* Help identify process gaps and improvement opportunities through audits
Requirements
Education:
* Recent graduate or final-year student in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience:
* No prior audit experience required, but academic project exposure to engineering processes or audit methodologies is preferred
Skills:
* Solid understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering concepts
* Strong command of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented
