Process Controller (Dispatcher) – Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
The Process Controller (Dispatcher) plays a central role in coordinating real-time container and equipment movements across the terminal. Working from the control room, this role ensures smooth operations, optimal equipment allocation, and strict adherence to safety and operational procedures. The position demands sharp decision-making, multitasking, and technical proficiency in Terminal Operating Systems to keep vessel, yard, and gate activities running efficiently.

Core Duties
* Assign and coordinate terminal equipment for container moves between vessel, stacking, gate, delivery, and inspection areas.
* Monitor real-time operations through TOS, CCTV, and other control tools.
* Analyze active work queues and trigger timely actions to achieve planning targets.
* Optimize container flow to reduce equipment idle time and maximize terminal throughput.
* Maintain continuous radio communication with yard and vessel teams.
* Detect and correct misaligned container placements, ensuring data accuracy in TOS.
* Serve as the control room focal point, relaying critical operational updates and instructions.
* Verify yard and vessel data accuracy and ensure all updates are reflected in the system.
* Coordinate with Staff & Equipment Control on availability and deployment of assets.
* Uphold HSE standards by enforcing safety protocols and supporting safe work practices.
Candidate Requirements
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or IT-related fields.
* 2–3 years of experience in container terminal operations, preferably in a control room environment.
* Strong working knowledge of TOS platforms such as Navis N4 or TOS+.
* Familiarity with yard planning and vessel operations.
* Proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and analysis.
* Ability to multitask under pressure, manage simultaneous data inputs, and make quick, effective decisions.
* Strong spatial reasoning to interpret yard maps, berth layouts, and container positions.
* Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic language is an added advantage.
