Role Context
The Production Worker - Food Manufacturing will assist with daily factory operations and help maintain steady output
across food processing and packaging lines. The position supports product quality, workplace cleanliness and food safety by ensuring materials are handled correctly and defective items are removed before further processing.
The role requires attention to detail, physical readiness and the ability to follow instructions while working independently or as part of a shift-based production team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with routine activities on food production and processing lines.
* Load and unload products, ingredients or packaging materials from machines.
* Feed or position items onto production equipment for processing.
* Monitor products moving through the production line.
* Remove damaged, defective or unsuitable products from the line.
* Follow food safety, hygiene and contamination-control procedures.
* Keep workstations, machinery areas and production floors clean.
* Sweep, mop and remove debris from assigned work areas.
* Dispose of production waste in accordance with approved procedures.
* Scrape waste material from machinery following the waste destruction SOP.
* Support line operators during production changeovers and cleaning activities.
* Report equipment issues, product defects or safety concerns to the supervisor.
* Follow production instructions, shift schedules and factory safety rules.
* Use protective equipment correctly while working in processing areas.
* Maintain orderly storage and handling of materials near the production line.
* Work cooperatively with quality, food safety and operations teams.
* Complete day or night shift duties according to operational requirements.
Ideal Profile
* Basic education or equivalent practical experience.
* Previous factory, warehouse, food processing or production experience is an advantage.
* Basic written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail when checking products and work areas.
* Ability to follow production, hygiene and safety instructions accurately.
* Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
* Willingness to perform repetitive and physically active tasks.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and handle production materials safely.
* Reliable attendance and punctuality.
