The Station Design Manager will create the structure that keeps these parallel activities synchronized. Effective workflow planning, action tracking, and interface control will reduce approval delays, prevent unresolved comments, and maintain progress toward key design and construction milestones.

Key Responsibilities

The manager will coordinate the daily design process while providing clear reporting to clients and senior leadership.

* Serve as a regular client contact for design-process matters involving the Upper Plateau Stations.
* Organize and lead design-coordination meetings with multidisciplinary participants.
* Record decisions, actions, responsible owners, and completion dates.
* Follow outstanding matters through to documented closure.
* Capture client requirements and confirm their communication to relevant design teams.
* Maintain traceability between stakeholder decisions and design-development activities.
* Coordinate submissions and responses involving authorities, regulators, and third parties.
* Align external reviews with agreed submission and approval procedures.
* Develop and maintain the design-management plan and supporting workflows.
* Prepare detailed design-process schedules covering reviews, submissions, responses, and approvals.
* Monitor review cycles and key approval milestones.
* Coordinate architecture, civil, structural, MEP, systems, safety, accessibility, and operations inputs.
* Manage information exchange according to agreed process dates.
* Coordinate interfaces between station designs and tracks, viaducts, systems, utilities, and public-realm assets.
* Support formal change-control processes for modifications to design requirements.
* Confirm that changes are recorded, evaluated, communicated, and approved through the required steps.
* Track progress against design milestones and identify emerging delays or bottlenecks.
* Highlight critical-path decisions and information needed to maintain progress.
* Prepare status reports, dashboards, and presentations for the client and project leadership.
* Work with discipline leads to develop recovery actions for at-risk milestones.
* Verify that deliverables complete the required checking, review, and approval workflow before issue.
* Maintain a design-process risk register covering late inputs, unresolved comments, and approval delays.
* Coordinate mitigation actions with responsible stakeholders.
* Ensure that technical, safety, quality, and regulatory checks are included at the correct design stages.
* Promote compliance with project quality-management procedures.
* Facilitate constructability, operations, and maintenance review sessions.
* Capture feedback from construction and operations teams and integrate it into design workflows.
* Monitor review comments and resulting design actions through resolution.
* Maintain structured records of design decisions, approvals, comments, and actions.
* Work with document-control and information-management teams to support accurate records.
* Ensure proper use of common data environments and project-collaboration platforms.
* Support improvements to digital tools used for design-process management.

Ideal Profile

The preferred candidate is a client-facing design coordinator with strong process discipline and experience managing complex rail-infrastructure workflows.

* Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
* Minimum ten years of project-management or design-coordination experience.
* Background supporting major infrastructure, railway, metro, or transit developments.
* Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary design processes, workflows, and approvals.
* Ability to coordinate several parallel activities within a complex stakeholder environment.
