Structural Engineering Lead - Offshore Projects
Position Overview
DP World is seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Lead in Dubai to manage topsides structural design and offshore engineering activities for major energy infrastructure projects. This leadership role focuses on HVDC platforms and large-scale offshore structures, with a strong emphasis on FEED, detailed design, fabrication integration, and loadout operations. This is a full-time role requiring 10+ years of expertise in structural design for topside structures and EPC project execution.

Core Duties
* Lead structural engineering efforts for topsides, ensuring compliance with international standards and project scope
* Oversee structural support design for HVDC equipment in coordination with OEMs
* Review and optimize topside weight management, structural analysis, and fabrication compatibility
* Guide design for loadout, grillage, sea-fastening, and transportation using industry best practices
* Interface across disciplines to create clash-free, buildable models and technical documentation
* Develop, review, and approve structural drawings, MTOs, specifications, procedures, and reports
* Drive project-specific technical discussions with clients and internal teams to resolve engineering challenges
* Coordinate engineering deliverables with planning, marine, project management, and fabrication departments
* Support risk management, design validation, and engineering input to procurement and construction phases
* Mentor team members, manage resources, and ensure timely execution of structural packages
* Provide expert technical advice and contribute to engineering lessons learned for future improvements
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor\'s Degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in design or EPC of offshore topside structures, including FEED and detailed design
* Proven success in delivering at least one mega project (30,000MT+) during the design phase
* Strong knowledge of stress-skin design methods and HVDC topside engineering
* Familiar with SPMT loadout, T&I, and sea transport for offshore structures
* Experience in European offshore substation projects is preferred
* Full understanding of applicable international structural codes, offshore safety, and health standards
* Proficiency in project planning, stakeholder communication, and inter-discipline coordination
