A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Local (On-Shore) Commercial Project Manager in our unit, you will be part of a world-wide commercial team, who work closely and openly together and often exchange information with each other.
You are a key player in the global project team for respective projects in your country consisting of technical project manager, engineering, assembly and purchasing. You take over the relevant project from our sales unit until the end of the warranty period.
You act as one of the closest partners for our customer in case of any commercial questions and queries and support project team in all local commercial aspects. Your varied activities also include visits to construction sites and customers. Working out contract strategies and deepening customer dedication are also part of your everyday work.
How Youll Make an Impact
Ensures the accuracy of project books and records, including recording of such in the appropriate systems, e.g., SAP - ensures compliance with Siemens-Energy guidelines and in country accounting requirements. Ensures all related Project Reporting and Controlling activities are performed accordingly.
Supports the Local Project Manager (PM), the World Project Controller (WPC) and the global project team ensure that the financial results according to set targets are managed with due professional care and optimizes the project gross profit, cash flow and assets and financing instruments.
Supports the PM and the global project team in identifying, evaluating, and assessing risk and opportunities, strategies, and response activities - taking over the full responsibility in this regard with respect to all local commercial risks and opportunities.
Responsible (local focus) for clarifying, elaborating, and optimizing all relevant commercial issues, such as analysing and commenting on contracts (focus on the local part), including legal aspects in close cooperation of the global project team.
Fulfil your commercial role depending on the chosen business model (e.g., consortium, subcontractor, split contract), preparation of relevant documents, tax concept including clarification of tax issues with the local authorities.
Clarify and handle insurance, currency issues, compliance, ECC (customs), cash flow, review of local contract documents such as mou etc.
Negotiating, handling, and implementing of the Technical Field Assistance (TFA) contracts for the assigned projects including the deployment of the TFA, invoicing and cash collection from the customer. Conclude temporary hiring out of personal contracts , delegation contracts & the corresponding Service level Agreements with the SE companies. Support the delegates in acquiring Invitation Letter/ Visa Process/ Work Permit process.
Support for Claim Negotiations in alignment with the global project team and your technical counterpart.
Planning & Reporting (using the tools Focus, Dash & PMTX) / Controlling and provide FC for the local scope.
Local supplier management such as verifying and approving Subcontractors invoices and Goods receipt.
Conclude Framework agreements regarding accommodation, transport, office supplies, medical supplies, etc. within the local scope.
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in business, finance or accounting.
At least 7 years of work experience with at least 5 years experience in project controlling or contract management.
You are a problem solver! The On-Shore CPM position is the financial counterpart of the On-Shore project manager. The financial interface to the customer in alignment with the global Project management and coordinate all commercial activities related local activities to their projects.
The role also demands strong collaboration skills, as well as strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders, at various levels. A thorough understanding of Siemens Guidelines (loa/ NCM/Consortium etc.) As well as experience in contract negotiation/ execution is required.
Proficiency with standard accounting principles.
Strong competence in using IT Tools including Microsoft, SAP, and Salesforce applications.
Positive attitude to work in challenging environment and in embracing high performance culture.
