To follow correct welding procedure and to use correct welding consumables for all jobs carried out in the department or on job site.
To follow company procedures for the storage and handling of welding consumables
To make out work pieces to instructions or engineering drawings
Gas cutting work pieces
Preparation of work pieces for welding
Performing welding either by MMA, SMAW or TIG methods
Be able to operate MMA & SMAW welding equipment.
To be fully familiar with material grades, welding consumables coding.
Be able to work accurately to engineering drawings
To have a working knowledge of ASME codes requirements
To be able to work with minimum supervision
To continually aim to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency
