Key Responsibilities

* Design realistic technical evaluation assignments using PDFs, CSV files, spreadsheets, code samples and other technical documents.
* Build source packages from product specifications, subject matter expert notes, regulatory materials and technical references.
* Transform complex source information into concise, accurate and actionable documentation.
* Define expected solutions and establish clear output requirements for individual benchmark tasks.
* Develop detailed grading rubrics containing 35 or more assessment points where required.
* Create measurable evaluation criteria covering technical accuracy, precision, testability, completeness and audience alignment.
* Produce realistic documentation scenarios involving API references, user guides, operating instructions and compliance materials.
* Structure tasks so AI-generated responses can be evaluated consistently against clearly defined requirements.
* Assess technical outputs for factual accuracy, usability, clarity and suitability for the intended reader.
* Identify ambiguous, incomplete or technically unsupported information within generated documentation.
* Apply precision writing principles when developing instructions, specifications and evaluation materials.
* Calibrate terminology, explanation depth and technical detail for different user groups and knowledge levels.
* Work with structured authoring approaches and established documentation conventions.
* Apply relevant style guides to maintain consistency across technical content.
* Review source materials from multiple formats and reconcile the information needed to create coherent documentation tasks.
* Develop acceptance criteria that make technical deliverables objectively testable.
* Apply analytical reasoning when determining whether generated outputs satisfy defined requirements.
* Perform technical editing to improve accuracy, structure, terminology and readability.
* Maintain traceability between source information, expected outcomes and grading requirements.
* Work asynchronously with distributed project teams to review feedback and refine benchmark deliverables.
* Incorporate reviewer comments while preserving technical accuracy and evaluation consistency.
* Meet minimum weekly submission requirements and maintain quality across output-based assignments.
* Complete approved tasks according to project quality standards and agreed delivery expectations.

Ideal Profile

* 2-4+ years of professional technical writing experience.
* Portfolio demonstrating technical documentation work in software, hardware, medical devices, regulated industries or comparable technical fields.
* Excellent written English and strong command of technical terminology.
* Proven ability to convert complex information into precise and usable documentation.
* Experience producing API documentation, user guides, technical instructions, specifications or compliance documentation.
* Strong understanding of structured authoring and documentation development workflows.
* Familiarity with technical writing style guides and documentation toolchains.
* Ability to work confidently with PDFs, spreadsheets, CSV files, code samples and technical reference materials.
* Strong source synthesis skills with the ability to distinguish supported information from assumptions.
