If you are an Engineering professional looking to for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will require a pioneering talent to create manufacturing processes for new global products. Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will be a team member on the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team, focused primarily on developing new manufacturing processes, with an emphasis on machine tools and metal cutting processes to support a global HVAC compressor platform. In this position, you will work closely with the product planning, design engineering, procurement, and operations to coordinate design features that will enable low-cost, high-quality, and reliable manufacturing of a new global product. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious, process-oriented person and be a core member of the New Product Development team.
AS AN ADVANCED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
- Drive the development of manufacturing processes by making data driven decisions to drive how future products will be designed
- Enable the development and implementation of process and equipment installations, including design, justification, and procurement
- Develop build, quality, and manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with product development groups to address industry trends and leverage design for manufacturing expertise to ensure all aspects of safety, quality, and performance are achieved
- Work closely with the design engineering team to incorporate features for low-cost, high-quality products and processes
- Work with cross-functional teams to address current manufacturing challenges across multiple product lines
- Work with third-party manufacturers to create prototype components, new equipment, and processes
- Specify capital equipment required to execute the manufacturing plan
- Ensure all production-related technologies, equipment, and processes meet all safety requirements in accordance with applicable industry standards
- Drive continuous improvement by utilizing lean principles that are aligned with manufacturing and automation strategies
- Serve as the technical expert for assigned manufacturing process responsibilities.
