The equipment handled includes Defibrillators, Cardiac Monitors, Infant Care Centers, Incubators, Infusion Pumps, Audiometers, Electrosurgical Units, Microscopes, Spirometers Dental Anesthesia Units, etc. Work is performed on equipment throughout medical facilities including Dental and district clinics. Subject to scheduled On-Call for medical equipment emergencies.
Responsibilities
Conducts preventive maintenance checks and inspections by observation and application of tests instrument.
Advise and assist in the application of instrumentation in clinical environments.
Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
Install, adjust, maintain, and/or repair biomedical equipment.
Performs maintenance repair tasks including disassembly, reassembly and test operation.
Prepares requisitions for spare parts procurement from stores/manufacturer. (…%)
Analyzes equipments for failures, faults or malfunction based on experience and skill, application of test instrument and reference to technical literature or drawings.
Prepares and enter data in logs, reports, form and equipment records about inspections, repairs and equipment condition and operation.
Qualifications
Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering
Careful measurement and analysis skills
Attentive to details
Excellent verbal communication with patients, medical staff, other engineers.
3 to 5 years experience in a hospital set up.
Excellent command of oral and written English to read and understand technical literature and schematics. Knowledge in Arabic is desirable but not essential.
