Key Accountabilities
Support Procurement Manager in planning and sourcing decisions by providing advice based on the assessment and analysis of business needs, supply market and commercial risks
Provide effective support and advice to various stakeholders in determining their procurement needs
Prepare procurement plans and establish cost parameters and budgets to purchase high quality and cost efficient supplies in order to meet the needs of the organization
Undertake complex analysis and price comparisons of multiple quotes/bids in order to source, evaluate and select the most valuable supplies and suppliers
Lead the formulation, negotiation and award of procurement contracts. Manage the contracts effectively ensuring their timely reviews and renewals
Build and maintain effective partnerships with suppliers to leverage on the opportunities of cost reduction and service efficiency
Monitor supplier performance by ensuring all contract deliverables are met as per the expected quality and standards, ensure that supplier database is regularly updated
Complete the timely checking, verification and authorisation of supplier invoices including data preparation and collation of support documentation to enable the recharge of costs to service areas
Implement and operate SAP system to manage and maintain high quality and accurate data records of purchases, shipments, inventory, supply of goods, etc.
Manage inventories to maintain an efficient flow of supplies
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly procurement status reports to key stakeholders
Release and allocate purchase requisitions to Procurement Officers and supervise their performance
Identify process improvement opportunities to deliver value and reduce cost in the procurement process
Knowledge/Qualification & Experience
Minimum: 7 years' of experience in sourcing and procurement process
Preferred: 5 years' experience in similar industry with regional exposure.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
Professional CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification or equivalent
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in business administration / Finance & Accounts / Supply Chain Management / Procurement and Logistics.
Knowledge of procurement ERP systems (SAP)
