Key Responsibilities
Oversee the production and reporting of the Group's Interim and Half and Full year results and relevant disclosure to the FSA and other external stakeholders
Group regulatory reporting is a key requirement.
Devising, reviewing and updating financial policies, systems and processes to provide senior management with accurate MIS reports (including financial statements) for them to be able to take timely decisions.
Providing support and any necessary response to regulatory reporting queries raised through the Group's function
Help the Executive Director in developing, implementing and reviewing financial strategies including budgeting and forecasting, cost control and expense reviews and providing strategic input on Finance related matters with regards to new business developments.
Ensure timely submission of returns to the regulators, tax authorities, exchanges (wherever applicable)
Preparation of the Group's Annual Report
Managing external service providers in relation to preparation of financial statements for consolidated Group entities and ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of their outputs.
The Candidate
Must be a team player with a positive attitude with the ability to work under their own initiative
Ability to prioritise and multitask and operate in a dynamic/ever-changing environment
Detailed understanding of IFRS and UKGAAP accounting Standards
Qualified accountant (ICAEW or ACCA) with at least 10 years experience in the investment banking industry
Thorough understanding of Capital Market and Investment banking products
Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role or from within a Big 4 Accountancy Firm
Good attention to detail and ability to deliver to strict deadlines
Broad financial modelling and Regulatory reporting skills
Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with experience of working with Senior Executives, board members and shareholders.
