Specialist Psychiatrist
Job Overview:
Al-Futtaim Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Specialist Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care to patients. This role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, phobias, and post-traumatic stress. You will use evidence-based practices to develop and implement effective treatment plans while maintaining detailed patient records. The Specialist Psychiatrist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive mental health care to patients according to best-evidence-based standards.
- Collect and interpret patient information to perform assessments and diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, personality and behavioral disorders, phobias, and post-traumatic stress.
- Monitor patient progress and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Facilitate group and one-on-one counseling sessions to provide therapeutic support.
- Maintain detailed records of patient appointments, including diagnoses, treatments prescribed, test results, and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with Al-Futtaim Health Medical Staff bylaws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards while delivering patient care.
Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Doctorate of Medicine from an accredited institution.
- Completion of specialty qualification recognized by Dubai Health Authority, Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, or Ministry of Health UAE.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience at a specialist Psychiatrist level since gaining higher qualification.
- Proven competence in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health conditions.
- Experience in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.
Certifications:
- Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support.
Skills:
- Fluency in English (speak, read, and write) is mandatory.
- Arabic-speaking skills are an added advantage.
- Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals will be well-regarded.
