HR Business Partner

Job Overview:
Al-Futtaim Group is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to act as a trusted advisor to line management on change management, talent management, HR budget, and staffing strategies. This role involves driving HR strategies that support business growth, fostering a culture of performance, meritocracy, and diversity, and ensuring compliance with Group HR policies. Key Responsibilities:
Talent Management:
- Implement talent management strategies to ensure the right talent is selected for key positions through internal and external recruitment.
- Collaborate with line managers to develop succession plans and retention strategies for high-potential employees.
- Track progress of high-potential employees and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
- Support line managers in preparing promotions proposals and performance management plans.
- Implement performance improvement plans for underperforming employees or assist in exit processes.

Talent Acquisition:
- Ensure all roles have updated job descriptions and guide line managers in defining organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with the AF Talent Lead to attract and recruit the right talent while ensuring compliance with internal audit guidelines.
- Lead the recruitment process, ensuring timely hiring within 45 days.
- Develop selection tools and train line managers in interviewing and assessment techniques.
- Plan recruitment calendars for new store openings and collaborate with AFG Talent Acquisition Team for seamless hiring.
- Ensure compliance with localization policies and targets for UAE and KSA.
- Ensure all offers are made in line with DOA and MPC budget.

Training & Development:
- Conduct training needs analysis to develop an L&D proposal and calendar.
- Ensure new employees are properly inducted and receive necessary training for productivity.
- Identify and deliver training for high-potential employees and key staff members.
- Track progress of high-potential employees and collaborate with line managers for succession planning.
- Present quarterly L&D reports to line managers to demonstrate ROI and learning impact.

Employee Relations (ER):
- Promote a culture of employee engagement based on ‘Al Futtaim Way’ values, emphasizing meritocracy, performance, and diversity.
- Advise line managers on employee relations issues to minimize risks and ensure compliance with local laws.
- Communicate and implement changes to HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure the disciplinary procedure is properly followed before employee exits.

Business Partnering:
- Serve as a trusted business partner and coach to line management, consulting on people-related issues.
- Measure employee engagement within business units and implement actions to improve it.
- Provide change management support and facilitate transitions within the organization.
- Mentor management and HR teams on HR best practices and people management.

Reporting & Compliance:
- Present weekly HR priorities at trade meetings.
- Prepare and report monthly brand-specific MBR reports.
- Monitor and report key recruitment and talent KPIs, including vacant positions, internal recruitment rates, and talent pipeline progress.
- Develop action plans to address issues identified by HR KPIs.

Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CIPD qualification is desirable.

Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in an HR generalist role with previous experience as an HR Business Partner.
- Proven track record in the retail industry is highly desirable.
- Regional experience in MENA is beneficial.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of talent management, succession planning, and retention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using HR systems and tools for talent management and recruitment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to travel frequently to support HR initiatives across multiple countries.
