Category Manager | Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions | Emirati Talent
ROLE SUMMARY
The role will need to collaborate with key stakeholders on the development and implementation of annual category strategies and plans to achieve category goals and objectives and will be accountable for driving improved and sustainable category value. Deliver the strategy and execute strategic sourcing and other strategic procurement processes such as demand and compliance management.
ROLE PROFILE
Support the strategic roadmap and annual budget for their category (Marketing and Technology) in association with the Category Head.
Identify, gather, analyze, and summarize purchase requirements and demand, preparation of sourcing strategies, and complex sourcing processes which might include supporting end users in drafting the scope of work.
Responsible for supporting the creation & implementation of sourcing strategies in compliance with the legal, internal policies, good practices, and business goals.
Responsible for managing sourcing activities for new project development and achieving agreed milestones and key development timelines.
Providing ongoing oversight of cost reduction based on technical and commercial intelligence improving the cost.
Managing price negotiation and finalization for commercial supply agreements/contracts and letters of intent in close alignment with procurement services.
Mapping, analyzing, and interpreting data on current spending patterns, identifying cost drivers and opportunities.
Analyze supplier offers and quantify total costs of ownership.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required (Preferably Bachelor of Technology).
8+ years of experience in Procurement and 5+ years in the Marketing category.
Preferred experience in a large indirect and direct Procurement organization dealing with multiple contract types covering HC, Professional Services, Software, Marketing, Finance, Real Estate, and Engineering.
Working knowledge of Procurement and Contract Management related software is a plus.
Experience in Procurement sourcing and oversight for all procurement RFX processes for smooth delivery of operations to procurement category managers.
Operational experience in working on SAP Ariba, e-Rfx and digital skills.
