Your Day to Day
As Front Office Intern, you will be learning to act as the central communication point of contact at the hotel by providing and co-ordinating rapid responses to all guest requests, inquiries and needs; as well as assigning work orders to appropriate personnel. To identify and anticipate guest needs; ensure complete guest satisfaction.
Some of your main role responsibilities are:
Promote Inter-hotel sales, in house facilities and Food & Beverage outlets.
To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest to maximize hotel sales.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of standard reservation procedures.
Greet guests at all times in a friendly and helpful manner and attempt to learn and use guests’ name at every opportunity.
Take action so as to guarantee that guests depart from the hotel with a positive impression of hotel services.
Maintain current information on all general activities of the hotel
Attend to guests’ inquiries and requests, refer problems to Supervisor if he/she unable to assist.
Monitors all calls that are in queue and answers appropriately.
Notify guests or internal staff of any delays in performing work orders and call back guests to ensure guest satisfaction within accepted time frame.
Well aware of the restaurants operating hours and specials/promotions within the operation as well as catering space requirements and locations
