A Millwright in the James Ford Bell (JFB)Shop will interpret engineering, fabrication, layout, and elevation drawings, to fabricate, assemble, install and maintain food process or packaging equipment while complying with all human and food regulations, codes, and guidelines. They have a broad knowledge of many industrial trade skills such as plumbing, carpentry, welding, rigging, sheet metal forming, manual machining, and plant utility connections. The individual will always lead with safety, while driving innovation using a continuous improvement mindset.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead with Safety
Interpret process flow diagrams, fabrication, general arrangement, elevation, and layout drawings
Precision assemble and align proprietary equipment using power transmission components, fasteners, custom fabricated components and machine guarding
Collaborate with Peers, Managers, R&D, Engineering, Plant personnel, External suppliers and Contractors
Proficient at use of Forklift, straps, chains, hoists, and /or other rigging devices to install or remove large machinery
Proficient use of basic carpentry, welding, sheet-metal, manual machining, alignment, hand power tools, and precision measuring tools
Strong knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices and Sanitary Design and Fabrication guidelines
Competent in the selection and use of various materials (metals, plastics, elastomers)
Strong knowledge in both preventive and condition monitoring maintenance skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Science or Associate Art degree or diploma from an accredited vocational school, two-year community college, or equivalent training from the military or acceptable program.
0 to 3 years in a food processing/industrial environment
Demonstrated proficiency in use of hand and power tools
Must be able to lift and manipulate 50 pounds
Willingness to work Overtime, Weekends, or Flexible Work Schedules as needed
Ability to travel globally for short-term installations, service, or start-up support
Past Performance demonstrating strong safety behaviors
Good computer and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1-5 years Millwright or maintenance experience.
