Summary:
The Account Manager will plan, direct, organize, and control activities associated with client relations, account management, and office operations. The Account Manager will also interface with operations driving policies, procedures, profitability, and development.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with management and fellow associates.
Maintain an above-average attendance record setting an example for fellow associates.
Develop a strong working relationship between Account Management and Warehouse Operations showing the importance of communication and teamwork.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality between management and associates, without exception.
Develop staff through example, training, mentoring, and empowering associates at all levels.
Develop organization, individual, and competencies of associates.
Deploy Account Management staff by their capabilities. Assure staff is cross-trained and capable of handling all accounts.
Act as the primary point of contact for account managers and coordinate with internal departments as needed to ensure daily operational objectives are met.
Meet or exceed financial (P&L), quality, inventory, and timeliness objectives.
Develop and administer standard operating procedures and/or contractual obligations for Office and Account Management staff.
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and provide solutions to problems (real or potential)
Ensure compliance with housekeeping, safety, facility, and security guidelines.
Implement a matrix that measures performance achievement, weakness, and trends.
Multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
Maintain operational hours that will meet or exceed clients' expectations giving supreme support.
Maintain systems integrity and procedures.
Client:
Represent Maersk in a professional, positive, and courteous manner.
Strengthen client relationships while expanding new opportunities.
Contact clients by telephone, personal visits, and written correspondence to build awareness and improve service levels.
Maintain active involvement in the overall direction of assignments assuring timely processing and delivery.
Develop a reporting method that would elevate documentation visibility throughout the processing stages while assuring prompt return to clients.
Gather client forecasts for analyzing trends, extrapolating future results, and taking decisive actions.
Maintain a high level of direct involvement in understanding issues related to client satisfaction and if necessary, resolving chronic issues.
Develop a system that would measure individual Account Management's performance, dedication, knowledge, and abilities.
