If you are a CHEMICAL & MATERIAL SCIENTIST professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will provide global chemical and manufacturing process chemistry solutions for advancing current and future compressor designs. In this role, you will evaluate current and new chemicals, materials, and processing methods using analytical and scientific tools. You will provide global chemical and material engineering support to Operations, Supplier Quality, Engineering, and New Product Development teams within the organization.
AS A CHEMICAL & MATERIAL SCIENTIST , YOU WILL:
Develop test plans and protocols to conduct testing to evaluate manufacturing process chemicals that are used in production of current and next generation HVACR system components.
Collaborate with Copeland's regional Materials Engineering Labs in Pune, India, and Suzhou, China, and Copeland's global manufacturing facilities to provide support for manufacturing process chemistry issues.
Engage chemical suppliers by acting as a liaison to operations and support effective use of chemicals for the manufacture of HVACR components.
Engage with other lab groups to schedule and perform system compatibility testing related to process chemicals.
Study and understand technical information specific to chemicals, processing methods, and equipment to support operations, supplier quality, engineering, and new product development programs.
Participate as a contributor on technical review and safety teams providing risk assessment and recommendations.
Engage in industry trade and regulatory associations specific to materials and product testing.
Create technical reports to communicate results to internal and external teams.
Have the flexibility to work as an individual and in a collaborative team environment.
