What to Expect
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Fabrication Technician to join the Tesla team. The successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of fabrication processes and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The right person must be able to multitask and manage their time effectively in order to meet production deadlines.The Fabrication Technician will be responsible for producing components and parts according to the drawings and specifications provided. They must be able to read and interpret drawings, engineering sketches and blueprints and be open to learning new processes. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work, takes initiative and is able to work independently as well as in a team.

What You'll Do
Adhering to all company policies and work rules
Fabricate, build and assemble mobile equipment, fixtures, and prototypes in a shop environment
Respond to repair requests and resolve any issues with damaged equipment
Welding and preparing parts in accordance to drawings and cut lists
Diagnose equipment failures - root cause and communicate required actions across relevant teams
Perform major dolly or rack equipment repairs, modifications and installations solely or under direct departmental supervision
Effectively communicate equipment issues with Supervisor and team
What You'll Bring
High level of safety consciousness
Minimum 3 years of fabrication experience preferred
Having a working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical fuel systems and/or charging systems
Welding and Metal Fabrication/machine shop experience
Computer literacy and ability to move through troubleshooting software
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
