Materials Handler (Forklift Operator *Pay Rate $18.50 per Hour*
Based in our Natchitoches, LA location you will work in our Materials/Shipping department. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for handling and moving merchandise around the facility.
Pack inventory and prepare for shipment. This may include loading pallets, banding the package, shrink wrapping, etc.
Utilize an RF Scanner on a daily basis to complete orders.
Verify inventory accuracy.
The ability to operate a shipping manifest system.
Transport product via the use of forklifts.
Compare packing slips and shipping documents to inventory.
Work in a timely manner to meet production standards established for various finished goods.
Accuracy and attention to detail throughout daily activities.
Trains other team members in assigned operations as needed.
Maintain a clean work area to meet safety regulations of the facility.
Work in a team environment to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at all times.
Assure compliance to all safety, environmental and health standards, procedures, and practices
Other duties, as directed.
*Guaranteed wage progression every 3 months, for the first two years! *
**Shift Premium of $1.50/hr for 2nd and 3rd shifts**
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate simple percentages. Be able to add and subtract decimal values. Basic Math test will be required.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and push or pull parts or containers frequently.
Ability to read and understand job instructions.
Must be able to operate a forklift. Training is provided to obtain certification.
Pass pre-employment background check, essential functions assessment, and drug screen.
High school diploma or GED required.
