The Sr. Quality Engineer, Warranty is responsible for coordinating adequate resolution of escalated Customer Quality complaints and publishing periodic reports related to Warranty performance. This position is also responsible for performing statistical analyses related to Warranty. Finally, leading and supporting initiatives to continuously improve quality-related processes is a key part of this position. As the Sr. Quality Engineer, YOU WILL:
Support adequate responses to customer quality complaints on escalated, Quality incidents.
Work closely and provide leadership to our Quality teams at our different locations, primarily Kennesaw (Georgia) and Eden Prairie (Minnesota). Work collaboratively with Sidney (Ohio), Belluno (Italy) and Chihuahua (Mexico), when immediate containment actions are necessary, on escalated incidents.
Perform basic statistical analyses as required, related to Warranty.
Analyze and publish specific monthly and quarterly reports related to Warranty performance.
Coordinate meetings with Customers and provide updates on escalated incidents.
Create and coordinate Quality process improvement initiatives as described in the Electronics and Controls Strategy Plan.
Travel up to 25%.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 3 years with warranty experience in a manufacturing facility, under an ISO9001 environment.
At least 3 years interacting directly with customers and addressing customer quality complaints.
Technical knowledge and experience troubleshooting electronics.
Previous demonstrated people leadership experience, whether formal or informal.
Advanced experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Mini-tab software or other equivalent statistical tool and in-depth knowledge of statistical techniques used in Quality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to analyze problems, create solutions, and multi-task with strong attention to detail.
A self-motivator who works as a team player and can motivate personnel.
Must have the ability to interact effectively at multiple levels and functions.
Demonstrates effective follow-up, self-confidence, and strong relationship-building skills.
Demonstrates effective time management.
