We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing costs and ensuring the efficiency and profitability of construction projects in the vibrant city of Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of BOQ based on tender/contract documents
- Responsible for on-site and off-site quantity verifications and confirmation with regards to payments and variation works
- Take-off all quantities from the received shop drawings /fabrication drawings and specifications including all items not mentioned in BOQ or not shown clearly in the drawings.
- Check and verify BOQ items with regards to quantity and specifications required and report to Estimation Manager & design team accordingly.
- Writing down and reporting all discrepancies found in the tender document especially between drawings, specifications and BOQ.
- Prepare shop drawings as required including layout for tenders.
- Study and verify received quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and challenge the unit rates of subcontractors.
- Assisting in writing and filling of BOQ to be submitted for the Consultant/Client
- Based on the shop drawings/ Fabrication drawings, take off all the material quantities including consumables and issue it to the project manager to control onsite materials.
- Review the material purchase requests raised by the execution team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in using relevant software for cost estimating and project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Professional certification or membership in relevant industry associations is a plus.
Salary:
AED 10,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
